Families are very much at the heart of the whole Serenata Festival Experience.
Pleasance is delighted to be programming the Kidzone at Serenata this year. Enter our music-filled Jurassic world of weird and wonderful creatures and giant tipis. Look out for Peter and The Wolf and a Jumping Mouse. Come to Storysack with Andy, Alex and Mike from Cbeebies. Take part in our STOMP percussion and movement workshops, sing songs with Playsongs Plus and make a junk instrument with Retune It. Get creative and make your views known at the Mischief Makers Protest Camp. Watch Little Angel’s Brilliant Bag Show, interact with their marionettes and make puppets in their special workshops. Listen to stories, watch Andrew The Brilliant Balloon Man as he’s eaten alive by a monster balloon. Listen to music and talk to young musicians from the Royal Academy of Music, then have a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at wonderful Clavell’s Kids Café. Then round off the day at our special Serenata Children’s Concert.
Clavells Cafè from Kimmeridge will be open daily in the Kidzone from 9am for breakfast until 7pm. Enjoy home cooked, child friendly fodder, including lunch boxes and icecreams, with light lunches and tea available for adults. A place for adults to relax with a drink and the papers, while the children play!
Pleasance Theatre Trust is a registered charity that supports emerging talent in the arts. For more information about us please go to www.pleasance.co.uk.
Serenata would like to thank Clayesmore School for their generous sponsorship of the Pleasance Kidzone.

Stomp Workshop (for under fives)![]() The Multi-award winning show STOMP has no words - everyone can understand it. It has little or no melody in the traditional sense, so it doesn't matter if your taste in music is jazz, classical, dance or pop. STOMP is about rhythm, which is common to all cultures. Everyone knows rhythm, if only from the beating of their own heart - it is the basis of all music. Come and explore your physicality, co-ordination, and dexterity, with our STOMP rhythm and movement workshops. The experience begins with the basic building blocks of rhythm and invites you to explore performance and music using everyday objects. http://www.stomp.co.uk/ |
